What are my system requirements to be able to use QuickBooks Hosted?
QuickBooks Hosted is accessible from any PC running Windows XP SP3, Windows 7 SP1 or Vista SP2 and has Microsoft .net Framework 3.5 installed. If you are using Windows XP SP2 you will need to run the below patch. Download patch click here.
The QuickBooks Hosted service is hosted in the Reckon Data Centre based in Sydney.
When I login, why would it advise me that my username and password are incorrect?
- First make sure you have “QBi\” before your user number (ie “QBi\1234567-1)
- Secondly, login usernames are always 7 digits in length, you may have to add zeros to the front of your login number. (ie your number is 1234-1 then you will need to change to QBi\0001234-1)

QuickBooks Hosted is a revolutionary service which allows you to access your business data anywhere, anytime over the internet. You can log in from anywhere in the world provided you have a PC that meets the system requirements, and an internet connection. The Hosted service is based on our top-of-the-range desktop product, QuickBooks Enterprise, so you know that when you sign up you are getting the very best and most functional software we have to offer. This is ideal for existing QuickBooks users, as a move to the Hosted service is seamless and does not require training for staff on a new product.
How do I know that my data is secure?
Reckon is a secure, ASX-listed company which has made a large investment in state-of-the-art data security that complies with privacy and security laws.
You can be confident knowing that your data being used in the Reckon Online environment is automatically backed up to two mirrored servers at our data centres in Sydney, Australia. This is also an important part of a business disaster recovery plan. Reckon does also recommend that customers take their own back up copies.
